What is a URL?

  • URL stands for "Uniform Resource Locator" or the address of a particular item located on the internet.  The URL for this site is:   http://www.diagnostic-domains.com

What are "Top Level Domains" or TLDs?

  • Top Level Domains are the last part of an internet address, i.e. the .com.  TLDs are extensions or suffixes that tell others something about the company or individual that owns a particular internet address.  The most popular and recognizable TLD is .com. Other common TLDs include:
    • .net
    • .org
    • .biz
    • .us
    • .info
    • .ws
  • Some TLDs are restricted and reserved for particular uses.  These include:
    • .gov (for United States government agencies)
    • .mil (for United States military)
    • .edu (for United States degree granting institutions)

How are domain names transferred to they buyer?

  • After the purchase, buyer remits payment for the purchased domains.  When the funds have cleared, the domain name registration is transferred to the new owner. We will work directly with you every step of the way to ensure a smooth transfer.  All sales are final.
  • If desired by the buyer, escrow services are available, at the buyers expense.  Fees charged by escrow services are typically based upon a percentage of the sale price.  If this option is desired, please let us know and the necessary arrangements can be made.

What is domain name forwarding? - (Used for lease agreements)

  • Multiple domain names can easily be linked to a single web site or internet address. For example, all seven of the Troponin-I domain names (.com, .net, .org, .info, .us, .biz, and .ws) in our "Troponin-I package" can be set to automatically direct visitors to the same internet address (i.e. Troponin-I.com or your companies existing website).

The domain I am interested in has a set price.  Can I still make an offer?

  • Please feel free to contact us at info@diagnostic-domains.com with any questions you may have.  For an offer to be considered, it must be appropriate and reasonable.

How do I search for trademarks?

  • Trademark law can be complex and we do not offer legal advice.  This is the buyers responsibility.  Before purchasing a domain name, we recommend that you determine whether or not a particular domain name violates any current trademarks.  If you have any questions or concerns, you should utilize all available resources.  Below are links to other sites that may be of assistance:
  • The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Web Site:   www.uspto.gov
  • The International Trademark Association (INTA) Web Site:   www.inta.org

What is ICANN?

  • ICANN stands for: Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.  This private organization helps establish and administer policies for the internet, primarily those for managing the domain name system.  ICANN also helps with dispute resolution.  For more information, visit the ICANN web site at:  www.icann.org

What is a registrar?

  • A registrar is a retail company that administers the domain name registration process. Diagnostic-Domains.com is NOT a registrar.  The domain names listed for sale on this website are names that have already been registered through an ICANN accredited registrar.  The domain names listed for sale on this website are privately owned and ownership will be transferred upon completion of a sale.
